Katelyn Lindstrand, clinical nurse educator

Providing care extends beyond residents and patients, it also means supporting the staff who serve them. In times of transition and change, having a leader who offers guidance with patience and kindness can make all the difference.

Clinical nurse educator, Katelyn Lindstrand, plays a key role in ensuring staff feel supported, confident and prepared to deliver the highest quality of care. She identifies gaps in knowledge and addresses them with encouragement and understanding, making learning a positive experience. Her ability to mentor without judgment helps build a workplace where growth and development thrive.

When Youville Home was preparing for its launch of Connect Care, Katelyn took on a leadership role, working tirelessly to ensure staff had the training and support they needed. She recognized the challenges some faced with new technology and went out of her way to help arriving as early as 5 a.m. and staying as late as 6 p.m. to provide one-on-one assistance. Her calm and patient approach created an environment where staff felt safe asking questions, leading to greater confidence and competence.

Her impact extends beyond technology training. She takes time to understand individual needs, working to the strengths of each person and ensuring that no one feels left behind. Her kindness reinforces a culture of respect and teamwork.

Through her dedication and unwavering support, Katelyn has not only strengthened staff capabilities but has also cultivated an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
