Emile Enongene and Allison Sinclair-Graham

Navigating change within a healthcare setting requires strong leadership, trust and a commitment to teamwork. At St. Teresa Place, two leaders stepped up to ensure stability, continuity and a supportive environment during a significant transition.

When the site administrator, Emile Enongene, pursued an eight-month fellowship, he and Allison Sinclair-Graham, resident care manager, worked together to keep operations running smoothly. Allison took on the administrator role, while Emile provided mentorship, helping her navigate complex responsibilities. Together, they ensured that staff remained supported, resident care continued at the highest standard and the leadership team remained connected.

Clear communication and problem-solving were at the core of their approach. Allison addressed key staffing concerns, such as scheduling challenges and seniority conflicts, while Emile provided guidance from a distance, ensuring consistency in decision-making. Their partnership fostered trust and strengthened the leadership team, allowing them to work through challenges with confidence.

To maintain team morale, they introduced weekly gratitude-sharing in leadership team meetings, creating a space for leaders to reflect, connect and support one another. This initiative not only strengthened relationships but also reinforced a workplace culture built on appreciation and respect.

By demonstrating resilience, adaptability and shared leadership, Emile and Allison helped their team successfully navigate change. Their ability to empower others, solve challenges collaboratively and foster a positive work environment has had a lasting impact on staff and residents.
