One evening, Sheila was scheduled to finish her shift at 11 p.m., but when she saw that the next shift was short-staffed and a dialysis patient needed post-treatment care, she chose to stay late. She was supportive of her colleagues so the team was not overloaded and could function in balance at the same time being thoughtful of the welfare of the patients.

Her integrity extends beyond patient care. When a colleague was unexpectedly soiled at work and unable to return home for a change of clothes, Sheila used her break to drive that person to a nearby store to buy fresh clothes. She saw a need, empathized with their discomfort and took action.
